Melbourne director Alkinos Tsilimidos - writer with Daniel Keene - gives us a love triangle: a boy, a girl and heroin. The title characters, junkies Emma (Laura Gordon) and Jay (Nick Barkla), decide they can't continue to live the way they are but the last thing that means is giving up drugs. So they embark on armed robberies to support their habit, a decision that seems to them in their misguided state like a sound career move. And at first they surprise themselves with their apparent success. Along the way there are bleak, comic and unsettling moments - violence, weirdness, bizarre choice of disguise - that lead to tragedy.
