Toby Oliver ACS is a freelance director of photography based in Sydney, Australia. His award-winning body of work spans acclaimed feature films and network TV drama series through to commercials, documentary and short films.


In September ’09 Toby wrapped shooting the Australian WW1 feature drama ‘Beneath Hill 60’ on location in Queensland for director Jeremy Sims. See: http://www.beneathhill60movie.com.au. The gripping war epic will be released widely in Australia from April 15th 2010 through distributor Paramount/Transmission. Since then he has worked on a NatGeo dramatised documentary episode ‘Miracle in the Storm’ for Essential Media in Sydney, along with a new half-hour narrative comedy series pilot for the Seven Network. Toby’s first foray into shooting digital 3D, ‘Cane Toads - The Conquest’ screened at the Sundance Film Festival in January 2010. See the Dark Horizons review.
